“Let’s 10X your business!”

What comes up for you when you read this?

For most, the reaction is equal parts excitement and dread. “It sounds exciting—but I don’t want to work that hard!”

When I was researching 10X My Travel Business, I heard a version of this over and over again. Advisors are already working harder than ever. After five years of relentless industry change, it feels like swimming upstream against a heavy current. Nobody wants to work harder – especially when we cannot predict the future.

Here’s the shift: the size of the goal has little to do with the effort. As Dan Sullivan explains, 10X is actually easier than 2X. Doubling a goal keeps you grinding harder at the same things. 10X forces you to find an entirely new way. You can’t “outwork” yourself into a breakthrough.

The hidden inspiration in 10X is a willingness to embrace a new form of hard:

  • The hard of learning to delegate instead of doing it all yourself leads to a       lighter load

  • The hard of mastering systems instead of ad hoc firefighting leads to a       better, easier way of doing things the same way every time

  • The hard of saying no to distractions so you can say yes to growth leads to       greater fulfilment in your role

When you set that 10X goal, your brain starts creating the pathway. 10X isn’t about one giant leap—it’s about a series of shifts:

  • 10X conversion by focusing on where leads actually come from

  • 10X early sales success by coaching advisors through the first steps

  • 10X productivity by finding one best way of doing things, especially in the       key areas of customer creation

I firmly believe that everyone can 10X their business. I have the privilege of coaching business owners everyday who embrace the possibility and are willing to do a new kind of hard work.

Are you ready to discover your new form of hard—in order to achieve everything you have always wanted?
